Caitlyn is one of the best groomer, based in Oakland, near San Francisco, in California. We discovered to share few passions: Welsh Terriers, art and graphics, antiques!
While she was expecting a beautiful baby boy, we started talking about her future business. I was impressed by her determination and how she, with a little help from her husband, made an intelligent business plan. I was briefed professionally and it showed from the proposals of the first presentation.

I presented 3 proposals, giving the possibility to choose between three different styles and points of view:

50s,
Functionalist,
Fashionable.

We all felt the functionalist had a young, cutting edge strength. The logo was based on an Akzidenz Grottesk font, modifying and connecting the letters: it looks like a pack following its leader, attentive, and ready to go.

The wired, rigid hair lines are meant to be important because they show the strength of Caitlyin: stripping is the difficult art of grooming a wire haired dog, like my dog. Many claim to be good at imposing order on those hair. Only few are as good as Cait!
